- About Me:
- I have been involved with 'eLearning' since 1999 - (it hadn't actually taken off then, meaning not as ubiquitous a subject within TAFE Queensland). Since then, I feel to have travelled the journey (the destination still ain't in sight!). I am enjoying it immensely and yearning for more. My present 'indulgence' is in the area of managing Learning Systems and contributing towards sound design of instructional content.
- What experience do you bring to this network?
- I wear a few 'hats' at SkillsTech Australia but the designated title pretty much goes like this: "Educational Designer & LMS Manager". For those of you who are not familiar with the acronym 'LMS'; it stands for 'Learning Management System' (and at SkillsTech we use Janison; which recently got approved as the state wide LMS for TAFE Queensland!

A blended conversation video
Please check out (click link below) real life experience (and examples) of how a blended learning environment helped address specific student's needs (in this case, students with disabilities communicating through an online medium). Reinforces our belief in creating blended learning 'environments' as opposed to just focussing on developing blended learning 'courses'.

Converting files for free...
I am working on a project for my coursework in Instructional Design at UCLA (offered externally ofcourse!) and I have been researching some tools (software in particular) available that can convert various applications to other formats. With a lot of research, I found a site that many of you (teacher's are you listening...?) might be interested in looking at. It is free and will convert your word documents to PDFs, convert Flash to Windows Media and more...
